Where should we go on our honeymoon?

mayham asked:

Where is a good place to go on a honeymoon? We are getting married in November. We want a great honeymoon probably on the beach but we don’t want to go into debt paying for it! Where should we go for inexpensive? and not hawaii….

Tybee Island, for the beach alternative. If you just want something great, spend time in the mountains. Pigeon Forge, Tn is a great wedding honeymoon spot. We spent 3 nights in the Briarstone Inn in Pigeon Forge, Tn with a jacuzzi and a fireplace in November of last year. The lights were awesome.

Easy. save up to take a cruise together and during one of the stops you can take a romantic walk on the beach together. May God be with you in your marriage.

I would do Cancun. We went there a few years ago and it was absolutely awesome. I want to go back some day. A couple of people I know have gone or are going to the Dominican Republic because it is a little cheaper than Mexico. On of my friends has been to both and said she liked Mexico better though, but I am sure both are awesome. The earlier you book the better off you might be. November isn’t their busy time yet, so you might be able to find a great deal.

    Oh by the way Congrats.

I got married in Oct. we went to the U.S. Virgin Islands and it was AWESOME! St. John iis very small and laid back with private beaches, and St. Thomas is more busy and lots more people…

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The best time to go is end of November. Nice weather….not too crowd. It’s very reasonable. And they have the best beaches over there. All-inclusive. I go every year during Christmas. It’s addicting.

My husband and I went to St. Lucia. We stayed at this little gem of a resort that was very resonably priced…www.tikaye.com. We had an amazing time. It was so romantic. We had our own little bungalow and a private plunge pool. You could also add a meal plan if you want. There are tons of reviews on tripadvisor and theknot.com.

My DH and I found a cabin in a state park (Oleto River State Park) in North Miami Beach for only $50 a night. We hung out in Miami the first day, drove down to the Keys the next, and then to the Everglades on the 3rd day. It wasn’t exactly the most picturesque of honeymoon sites, but then again, it really didn’t matter since we were busy. (hehe).

AND it was really really nice for the amount of money we spent (about $200 plus transportation and food) and planning a week in advance. (We had a 2 month engagement so the honeymoon was kind of an afterthought!)

    Good luck, and congratulations!
