Please recommend a good hotel in O’hau, Hawaii, mid range price, top service, pool, near beach and romantic?

My husband and I (mid thirties) will be visting O’ahu, Hawaii for the first time in June. We will be staying for 2 weeks and need to book our hotel ASAP. We’ve looked at the guide books and several review sites for inspiration, but nothing has been very useful in helping us to decide. We have a budget of about $150-200 per night. We aren’t pretentious, but like things to be comfortable. Our only must have is a pool on the premises. We would like tro try and avoid any hotels that are still under reconstruction. We don’t want to be too far from the ‘action’, but we don’ want to be on top of it all either. Oh and I forgot to mention – this trip is part of our honeymoon so we’d like it to be at least a little romantic. Any thoughts would be welcome. Thank you.

Hey, I live on Oahu in Aiea. I would recommend the Malia Ohana in Waikiki, its about $86-100 a night. Its very good for the price and has a pool and such…. right in the middle of Waikiki on Kalakaua ave. Another very nice hotel is the Alamoana hotel right above the famous shopping mall…a little more expensive though, about $113 and up a night. Just like the Malia it has a pool and close to the “action. Most tourists visit oahu and leave feeling a little rushed so I really reccomend visiting the Big Island…”Hawaii”. Maui is also good to soak up our culture. The Big Island is wonderful though, my girlfriend and I go there at least once a year to see the volcano and such….more secluded and romantic than Oahu. Anyhow, I hope this helps… Definitely dont pay more than $200 a night here on oahu though because you wont spend that much time in the room. Have Fun and congrats!!

The Outrigger Waikiki is a perfect location and would meet all your criteria except price. But check out the web prices or get one of those ENTERTAINMENT Books for a 1/2 off price possibly. It is right next to that big Pink hotel Royal Hawaiian. and right on the beach. Across the street is the International MARKET. The Cheesecake Factory is about 100 yds away. They have two very popular restaurants there. You can get to the beach from your room in about 3 minutes and the ocean in about 3 1/2minutes. 80 to 85 degrees with a beautiful breeze. You will be happy with that hotel.

Waikiki Beach Hotel. I was just there last week. It has everything you’re looking for. It’s actually a condo. It has a refrigerator, oven, sink, washer and dryer. It is very big, so so you have a lot of room to move. It’s also very quiet, not like other hotels with a bunch of kids running around. Check it out. I think you’d like it!
