We went in July & it was marvelous. The weather was sunny but it did rain once a day. We stayed on the big Island & took a charter to Kuai. Good luck!

The time that you are wanting to go to Hawaii is summer weather for the Hawaiian islands. The average temp is in the 80′s. Every time we went to Hawaii the weather has been great. If it does rain it is short lived. There are rainy parts of the island. Most of the hotels are on the sunny side of the island. The months that we were their we winter months

We went there in March and April and it’s always been really great for us. Call a travel agent and see what works best for the two of you. Best wishes…

You can go to Hawaii anytime and its going to be any where from 65-85F and the 65 is on very “cold” nights. I was there for Christmas and I will never forget on New Years Eve the weather man said it was going to be a “Chile” 69F out and to bundle up. I could not do anything but laugh. Any time that is good for you. But being there on Christmas and New Years was the best. at 12:01 the whole sky is lit up with fire works. It is so beautiful! I hope you guys have fun and congrats and the wedding!

I live on Oahu. I love October here! It also depends on which island you plan to visit. Weather is always good, but Nov – Feb is our rainy season. The winter months also bring high surf on the north and leeward coasts. If you want to snorkel, dive or partake in a lot of water activities, you should know that during the summer months, right after a full moon, we can have lots of jelly fish!

I went to Kauai in early June. The weather was magnificent.

We just got back from the big island two weeks ago and the weather was terrible! However, I heard that the weather we experienced was very out of the norm. It rained or was cloudy all day every day for an entire week. Out of the 9 days, we had 2.5 days of sun and warmth. Also, I would not recommend the big island because there are no beaches! The coast is all black lava rocks!

Both your times are good, probably there would be cheaper fares during October (the latter part of the month). Weather is great both times.

I am from Oahu, and coming to Hawaii at both those times are great. depending on what you find more comfortable.
October is a lot cooler. You may expect some rain that should last a few min.
May is warmer. It get hot. High 80′s.
Which ever you chose, Hawaii will be great!

We went in July and it was perfect, hot yes, but it was like a nice heat, where you didn’t mind being hot because it just felt so good, don’t go in the rainy season, I’m not sure but I think that is near April?

Dec, Jan, Feb, March, April, May are great months, as the weather is warm, but not to warm, around 80′. Some of the other months, it’s a little cooler. But honestly, every month in Hawaii is a good month to me!

October may be the better time to go simply because all the kids will be in school vs. May when they all get out of school. Also, October will not have as many tourists.
The weather will be beautiful during either month…after all, it’s Hawaii!
Enjoy & congrats!

I went to the big island(Kona) in august. The weather was fantastic. The beaches were great, I saw dolphins, whales, and lots of different kinds of fish while I was snorkeling. The Hawaiian islands have a leeward and windward side. Leeward is more sunny and some cloudy weather. Windward, such as Hilo, has about 150 inches of rain a year. My advice is to stay on the leeward side and visit the windward side. In October, there is a better chance to see big whales. I am sure that May weather is better. Hawaii has great temperatures all year round. I loved Hawaii and I did not want to leave. I know that i will return. Maui is supposed to be the best island for newlyweds. Enjoy your trip and congratulations to the both of you!

Both October & May have nice weather. It is still pretty warm in October & I actually think the humidity is a bit higher in the fall. The rainy season is from November through March.
