Everyone says visit the road to Hana and make all the stops but If you have lived in the great NW then it is not as pretty as they say, bike down Haleakala, go to the visitor center in Haliakala, Snorkel at Molokini, go to Little Beach, Big Beach. Visit old Lahaina and have fun..and congratulations on your marriage.

I have been to Maui 3 times and everytime I go I always try different places to stay. Our last visit we stayed at the Kapaluavillas.com. I love the location because it’s not near the busy areas of kaanapali, lahaina and kihei. If your into golfing this is a perfect place because it surrounded by one of the best golf courses in Maui. The Ritz Carlton hotel is also within premises. Kapalua villas is a condominium if your into doing things on your own and not pay so much money. this would be a perfect spot for you guys it’s quiet and peaceful. On the otherhand if you like to be accomodated by hotels the Wailea area has alot of 5 star hotels.

as for activities, i like the road to hana and the best way to go there is renting your own car (a convertible would be best). The bike down mt. haleakala is nice too if you don’t mind waking up at 3 in the morning. The beaches on the way to Hana is a must to stop by. the black sand beach is pretty and if you do go to Hana make sure to buy the banana bread on the halfway mark. My Husband and I stargazed one night near kapalua something a lot of people don’t do much but it’s so worth it. Also, nice place to eat at is Mama’s fish house….congratulations! hope this helps.
